Know Your Hosts

Hello, I'm Tia.

Born and raised in Kerala, I've spent the last 15 years away from home. I have always been a foodie, worked as a journalist, now teach journalism at a college, and am currently finishing my Ph.D.

The cottage was designed as my ultimate comfort place—a space to slow down, breathe and feel at home. The idea for the supperclub came when I grew tired of restaurant food and started missing the warmth of home-cooked meals.

My aunt, Shiny, is the heart of our kitchen. She is a wonderful cook, but an even better host, and as you will witness, her energy and social battery is insane. 

Together, we've created this experience for anyone who wants to explore a new culture, enjoy a home-cooked meal, or simply escape the noise of the city for a few hours.

About the Feast

Theenmura is inspired by a traditional Kerala Christian feast and includes a variety of meats and regional dishes.

If none of the guests at a table eats a particular meat, as indicated in the questionnaire, we'll happily replace it with another dish. Yet we do encourage everyone to arrive with an open mind—sometimes the most memorable part of a meal is discovering something new.

Around the Table

One of the joys of a supperclub is sharing a table with people from different cultures, languages and backgrounds.

Please approach each other with curiosity, kindness and respect. Good conversations are often the best course of the evening.

Getting Here

The road to the cottage winds through villages and farmland, so please drive carefully. You may meet goats, cows and street dogs. They were here long before us, and we'd love for everyone to share the road with patience.

Meet Whiskey 🐾

Whiskey is our adopted dog and an important member of the family.

He came to us after experiencing abuse from previous owners and is still a little nervous around men with beards. He absolutely adores women. Either way, he will be your favourite dog by the time you leave.

He won't bother you during your visit, but we'd be grateful if you could be kind and patient with him. Every positive interaction helps him trust the world a little more.

Sunset, Rain & Everything In Between

Our terrace offers what we believe is one of the most beautiful sunset views in Bangalore.

Some days you'll get a spectacular sunset. Other days, you'll get dramatic clouds and rain. But nature usually puts on a show. We will get you towels if you want to dance in the rain.

Slow Evenings, Not Activities

You won't find planned games or icebreakers here.

This is a place to watch clouds drift by, dance if you feel like it, spot peacocks, admire wildflowers, browse through a book, enjoy a conversation, or simply sit quietly. Whatever you choose we will go along with it.

Use your phone for photographs, then try to put it away for a while. The world can wait.

For a few hours, let nature, good food and gentle company take over.
