About this event

About Fiber Art Club:
Fiber Art Club is a community space created to bring together artists, makers, and hobbyists who work with fiber arts and textiles. From yarn and thread to fabric scraps and roving, we gather to share our love for tactile crafts, exchange ideas, and build lasting creative connections.

About the Monthly Meetup:
Our monthly meetup is a slow, relaxed morning spent outdoors. Grab your current project—whether you crochet, knit, weave, embroider, sew, or work with any other fiber art—and join our circle under the canopy.

BYO WIP Session: Dedicated, undisturbed time to work on your ongoing projects alongside fellow crafters.
Monthly DIY Spotlight: A new, guided DIY fiber art activity to learn and try at every session.
Games & Connection: Fun icebreakers, conversation starters, and opportunities to learn new techniques from each other.

A few things to know

Welcome to Fiber Art Club! We're so excited to bring together a community of people who love creating with their hands. Before joining us, here are a few things to keep in mind:

1. Bring Your Own Project (BYO WIP)
Bring along your current or unfinished fiber art project! Whether it's crochet, knitting, embroidery, sewing, weaving or anything else, we'd love to see what you're working on.

2. Bring Your Own Seating
Since we're meeting outdoors at Cubbon Park, please carry your own seating mat so you can comfortably enjoy the session.

3. DIY Activity Supplies
Supplies required for the monthly DIY spotlight activity will be provided as part of your entry pass. You only need to bring materials for your personal ongoing project.

4. All Skill Levels Welcome
Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced maker, everyone is welcome! This is a space to learn, experiment, share and grow together.

5. Be Kind & Respectful
Respect everyone's creative process, ideas and skill levels. Please maintain a friendly and inclusive environment.

6. Keep the Park Clean
Please dispose of waste responsibly and leave the space as clean as you found it. Let's respect the park and its surroundings.

7. Personal Belongings
Please take responsibility for your personal belongings, craft supplies and finished projects. The organisers will not be responsible for lost or misplaced items.

8. Photography & Videos
Photos and videos may be taken during the meetup for community updates and social media. Please respect everyone's privacy and seek permission before taking close-up pictures or videos of other participants.

9. Punctuality
Please arrive on time so you don't miss the icebreakers, DIY activity or other fun bits planned for the session!

10. Registration & Refunds
Your spot is confirmed once registration and payment are completed. Registration fees are non-refundable.
